MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team hosted the Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Saturday afternoon for the final game of their GAC series. The Blossoms dominated the day with a score of 6-3 for the series win over the Savage Storm.

Southeastern was the first to score in game three with an RBI single in the top of the first, but the Blossoms responded with a two-run bomb from
Kennedy Cox.
The Savage Storm once again took the lead in the third on two RBI doubles, but a single to right field from
Sophie Wood would bring both
Adrianna Erichsen and
Bailey Camp across the plate, putting the Blossoms back on top, 4-3.
Kammie Walker gave the Blossoms some insurance in the fifth with a single to left that scored
Lexie Smith.
Kennedy Cox drove in the final Blossom run a solo shot to right center for her second home run of the game. The contest would conclude with a 6-3 victory for UAM and a series win to open conference play.
The win on the day pushes Arkansas-Monticello to a 10-7, 2-1 GAC record in the 2024 season.

Arkansas-Monticello is back to work on Wednesday February 28th, as they travel to Clinton, Mississippi to play in a doubleheader against Mississippi College. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
