MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to face off against conference rival Southern Arkansas University, Tuesday afternoon for a doubleheader. The Blossoms dropped both games in the doubleheader to the Muleriders, taking a 5-0 loss in game one, followed by a 1-0 loss in game two.

Scoring Recap:
The Muleriders scored five runs in the third inning, crossing the first run across the plate on a single up the middle and the final four on a grand slam.
Monticello was unable to respond the entirety of the game, resulting in a 5-0 loss.

Scoring Recap:
Only one run was scored in game two, with Southern Arkansas scoring in extras to take a 1-0 victory.
The losses on the day drop Arkansas-Monticello to a 12-15, 4-7 GAC record in the 2024 season.
