MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team closed out their weekend series with Oklahoma Baptist University on Monday afternoon. The Weevils came out with a series win after a 13-3 run rule victory over the Bison in game three.

Kirk Woolf kicked off the game in the bottom of the first, scoring four runs on a towering grans slam over the left field fence.
The Bison grabbed on back in the third on a SAC fly, but UAM matched their effort in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single up the middle from
Cade Cancilla.
Oklahoma Baptist found two in the fourth on a solo home run to center and a wild pitch to make it a 5-3 game.
Cancilla drove in
Will Owens from first in the seventh on a double to left center, extending the Weevil lead to 6-3.
Chase Cripps ripped an RBI single through the left side in the eighth, followed by a SAC fly from
Will Owens pushed the Monticello lead to 8-3.
Cade Cancilla brought home two more runs on a triple down the right field line.
Parker Dorrance found an RBI, driving in Cancilla on a double of his own down the left field line. The tenth UAM run came on Tanner's fourth HBP of the game.
Brodie Romero capped off a seven run inning with a walk-off base hit to score the 13th run for a run rule victory over the Bison.
Today's game pushes Arkansas-Monticello to a 14-10, 11-4 GAC record for the 2024 season.
