MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team hosted Arkansas Tech University for a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon. The Weevils came out of the midweek with a 9-8 loss to the Wonder Boys.

Scoring Recap:
Arkansas Tech opened the game with an explosive display of offensive in the first, scoring six runs on multiple extra base hits. The Wonder Boys extended their lead in the second, scoring a run on a double to center.
UAM found five runs in the third to shrink the Tech lead to 7-5.
Aidan Garrett drove in
Will Owens for the first Boll Weevil run of the game.
Brodie Romero brought home
Chaz Poppy on a single, followed by a bases clearing double from
Chase Cripps to conclude the rally.
Camden Tanner crossed the plate on a double in the fifth from
Kirk Woolf. Woolf would eventually score on a wild pitch to tie the game at 7-7.
A 2 RBI single to right in the sixth pushed the Wonder Boys back ahead with a 9-7 lead.
Monticello got one back in the eighth when
Parker Dorrance scored on a wild pitch. Unfortunately, UAM was unable to catch the Tech lead, resulting in a 9-8 loss.
Today's game drops Arkansas-Monticello to a 14-11, 11-4 GAC record for the 2024 season.
