FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello men's golf team closed out the Hardscrabble Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, on Tuesday afternoon at the Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. UAM finished the tournament in 8th place, with a combined score of 931.
Owen Page and
Ethan Bearden led the way for the Weevils. Page shot a 78 in both his first and second rounds of 18. Bearden started off very strong, shooting a 76 in his opening round, but saw an 80 in his second round. Both were able to improve their game tremendously in the final round, scoring a 72 to close out the tournament finishing tied for 24th with a combined score of 228.
Aidan Rooke started off strong, shooting a 78 in his opening 18 holes, but would also see a drop his score during round two, finishing the day shooting an 80. Rooke finished the tournament on a strong note, shooting another 78 for the final round, totaling 236 total shots. He left the event tied for 44th.
Chase Kisver shot a 78 in his opening 18 holes, but dropped to an 81 in his second round. Kisver finished his final round of the tournament with an 85 for a 51st place overall finish.
TJ Baker was the final
Weevil in the tournament finishing in 66th place, with a combined score of 161. Baker opened the tournament with an 81 in round one and came back in round three to shot an 80 to close out the tournament.
