ALVA, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team is scheduled to travel to Alva, Oklahoma to take on GAC co-leader Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Friday afternoon. The Boll Weevils will open their Great American Conference series with the Rangers.
UAM vs. NWOSU HISTORY
Heading into the weekend series, the all-time series between Arkansas-Monticello and Northwestern Oklahoma leans towards the Weevils, with UAM holding a 20-13 record with NWOSU. At Glass Family Field, the Rangers hold an 8-11 advantage over UAM.
The largest margin of victory came on April 14, 2023 when UAM reigned victorious in a 17-2 victory in game one of their conference series. The Weevils would sweep the series.

Heading into tomorrow's series opener, Arkansas-Monticello (20-17) and Northwestern (26-13) are sitting in a three-way tie for first place in the Great American Conference standings with a 16-8 record, alongside Arkansas Tech. The Boll Weevils are coming off a 3-0 series sweep over Henderson State this past weekend. Meanwhile, the Rangers are heading into Friday after a series sweep over East Central and a mid-week loss to Southern Nazarene.
In terms of offensive showcase, UAM is third in the conference with a team batting average of .295. NWOSU is sitting in second, with an overall batting average of .299. When it comes to fire power at the plate, the Rangers prevail over the Weevils in slugging percentage, with a .513 compared to UAM's .462. Monticello leads in doubles with an 81-74 advantage on doubles, but Northwestern holds a 9-3 lead in triples and a 58-37 comparison on on home runs.
Monticello sits at first in the conference for least amount of strikeouts with only 233, while Northwestern is hovering at seventh with 275 heading into the weekend.
On the bump, UAM has the sixth lowest ERA in the GAC with a 5.47 throughout the 2024 season. NWOSU sits at fourth in the conference with a 4.77 ERA among their staff so far this year.
OFFENSIVE SHOWCASE

Camden Tanner leads the offense for both Monticello and the GAC, holding a .403 average throughout his 34 contests played on of the year. Tanner also leads the team in slugging percentage with a .621, hitting a team-high 12 doubles and five home runs. He also leads UAM in on-base percentage with a .497.

Cade Cancilla has proven a big part of the Boll Weevil offense, boasting a .331 average on the year with 32 RBI. Cancilla has nine doubles, four home runs, and one triple on the year, while holding a .512 slugging and a .385 on-base percentages.
• The Rangers' top three hitters are Carson Wright, Dylan Bradford, and Hagen Barcello; two of which are in the Top-10 averages for the GAC. Among the three are 32 doubles, 21 home runs, and six triples throughout Northwestern Oklahoma State's 2024 campaign.
PITCHING SHOWCASE

Connor Irvine has the lowest ERA of starters on the Boll Weevil staff, boasting a 3.47 on the year. Irvine has a 6-1 record on the season with 59 strikeouts through 59.2 innings pitched in 2024.

Maxim Mrakovcic has the second lowest ERA of the weekend starters with a 4.74 through 49.1 innings. Mrakovcic holds a 2-4 record on the season.
• NWOSU is lead by Garrett DeHaas. DeHaas holds a 3.15 ERA with a 3-1 record on the year while striking out 45.
