CABOT, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello men's golf team opened up the Natural State Golf Classic, hosted by Harding University, on Monday afternoon at the Cypress Creek Golf Club. UAM finished day one of the tournament in 4th place, with a combined score of 587.
Owen Page led the way for UAM throughout day one the Natural State Golf Classic. After an even 72 in his first round, Page shot a 2-under 70 in round two. Page closed out day one of the tournament tied for 8th place with a score of 142.
Chase Kisver was close behind carding a 1-over 73 in his first 18 holes, and improving his score to a 1-under 71 in day one of the tournament. Kisver closed out the first two rounds tied for 10th place with a score of 144.
Daniel Taylor carded an 76 in their first round. Taylor then improved his score shooting a 1-over 73 for round two to close out the day in 16th place.
TJ Baker closed out round one with a score of 78 and followed up with an 74 on the day, to close out the day tied for 20th.
Sawyor Hamilton shot a 83 in his opening 18 holes, improving to an 77 in round two to close out day one in 31st.
Ethan Bearden competed individually, finished day one in 26th place, shooting a 4-over 76 in his first round of 18. He closed out day one of the tournament shooting an 81 for round two.
Grant Mohesky competed individually, shooting a 83 in his opening 18 holes. Mohesky finished round two of the tournament tied for 27th place after a round two 74.
