CABOT, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello men's golf team closed out the Natural State Golf Classic, hosted by Harding University, on Tuesday afternoon at the Cypress Creek Golf Club. UAM closed out the tournament in 4th place, with a combined score of 877.
Owen Page once again led the way for UAM throughout day two of the Natural State Golf Classic. Page continuously improved his score each round shooting an even par 72, followed by a 2-under 70 for rounds one and two, going on to close out the final round of the tournament carding a 3-under 69. Page left the Natural State Golf Classic in 6th place with a total score of 211.
Chase Kisver was the next Weevil on the leader board. After dropping two places from day one, Kisver finished out the tournament in 12th place with a total score of 217.
Daniel Taylor and
TJ Baker both closed out the Natural State Classic tied for 18th place with a total score of 225. Taylor once again shot a 4-over 76 for his final round of the tournament. Baker was able to improve his score for his final round carding a 1-over 73.
Sawyor Hamilton shot a 75 in his final 18 holes, improving his standing to tied for 28th with a total score of 235 to finish out his tournament run.
Ethan Bearden competed individually, shooting a 81 in his closing 18 holes. Bearden finished round three of the tournament in 31st place with a total score of 238.
Grant Mohesky competed individually, shooting a 78 in his closing 18 holes. Mohesky finished round three of the tournament tied for 28th place with a total score of 235.
