Box Score CLINTON, Miss. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team traveled to Clinton, Mississippi on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek game against the Choctaws of Mississippi College. The Weevils came out of the game with an 11-10 loss in extras.

Scoring Recap:
The Weevils were the first on the board, scoring three runs in the top of the first.
Chaz Poppy drove in a run on a double to left, followed by a two RBI single from
Chase Cripps.
Mississippi College responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning on a SAC fly.
Poppy grabbed four more RBI in the second on a grand slam to center field, increasing UAM's lead to 7-1. Two single and a home run over the second and third gave the Choctaws three runs to shorten the Monticello lead to 7-4.
Aidan Garrett drove in two runs in the fourth on a single of his own, but saw six response from MC in return over the fourth and six innings to give the home team a 10-9 advantage.
Garrett launched a home run in the seventh to tie the game up in the seventh.
Mississippi College won the game in the tenth on a walk off hom run to left field.
The loss on the day drops Arkansas-Monticello to a 25-19 record for the 2024 season.
