MONTICELLO, Ark. - UAM's Women's Basketball team will ring in 2025 with a home match against the Reddies of Henderson State University on Saturday, January 4, at 1:00 p.m. inside Steelman Fieldhouse. This game marks the earliest match-up between the two teams in January since they started competing against one another in November of 1963. The last time the two teams met this early for a January match, was January 5, 1989, in a 79-67 victory in Arkadelphia.

"Excited to be playing at home again in front of our fans against the defending conference champions," said Head Coach David Midlick. "Henderson is a very talented and well-coached team."

LAST MEETING
Henderson State University - The Blossoms were victorious in their last meeting taking the game, 69-57, at home in Monticello. Bailey Harris was the leading scorer for Arkansas-Monticello (8-16, 4-14 GAC) with 23 points, going 10-13 on total field goals, 1-1 on three-pointers, and 2-2 on shots from the free throw line. Harris also contributed three defensive rebounds and a steal in her 37 minutes. Kelsey Blakemore followed close behind, posting 17 points of her own in the game. She hit 5-7 field goals and 7-11 from the free throw line while giving the Blossoms three defensive rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Haleigh Crews was the final Blossom in the double digits, scoring 14 points against the Reddies. She hit 6-12 field goals and 2-3 from the free throw line with four defensive rebounds and two steals on the day.

Henderson State University - UAM leads the Reddies with an overall record of, 63-45, dating back to their first match in November of 1973, a 57-49 win. The longest win streak for the Blossoms currently stands at 12 which was achieved between December 16, 1985, and January 12, 1991. The largest margin of victory came during that win streak and was posted in February of 1990 in Arkadelphia, with a final score of 110-85. At home in Monticello the Blossoms have a record of 39-16, with a 22-28 record on the road. Through 106 games played the Blossoms are averaging 70.86 points per game, with 7,653 points scored.
