MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello's Men's Basketball team hosted the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech university on Saturday afternoon. The game concluded with a 48-40 loss for the Boll Weevils.
Seth Grandberry led Arkansas-Monticello (4-14, 1-11 GAC) as the only Weevil with double digits, with 17 points on the afternoon. Grandberry hit 6-12 field goals and 5-6 shots from the free-throw line while grabbing three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Arkansas Tech University (8-10, 5-7 GAC) was led by
Cassius Brooks with 16 points.
The first half of the game proved to be an intense back-and-forth between the teams. The opening 20 minutes eventually came to a close with a jumper from
Seth Grandberry, sending both teams to the locker room with Monticello on top, 23-22.
Arkansas Tech flipped the script and won the second half, outscoring the Weevils 25-18. The game would conclude with a 48-40 loss for UAM.
Arkansas-Monticello committed 15 turnovers in the entirety of the match.
