MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello's Men's Basketball team hosted the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech university on Saturday afternoon. The game concluded with a 48-40 loss for the Boll Weevils.

Seth Grandberry led Arkansas-Monticello (4-14, 1-11 GAC) as the only Weevil with double digits, with 17 points on the afternoon. Grandberry hit 6-12 field goals and 5-6 shots from the free-throw line while grabbing three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Arkansas Tech University (8-10, 5-7 GAC) was led by Cassius Brooks with 16 points.

The first half of the game proved to be an intense back-and-forth between the teams. The opening 20 minutes eventually came to a close with a jumper from Seth Grandberry, sending both teams to the locker room with Monticello on top, 23-22.

Arkansas Tech flipped the script and won the second half, outscoring the Weevils 25-18. The game would conclude with a 48-40 loss for UAM.

Arkansas-Monticello committed 15 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

The Weevils will return to the court on Thursday, January 30, in Monticello, Arkansas, when they host the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene. The game will start at 7:30 p.m.
