UAM was held to a .088 hitting percentage on 70 digs, 39 assists, 4 blocks, 9 aces, and 43 kills.
SET-BY-SET
FIRST SET (17-25 NWOSU, NWOSU leads 1-0)
Set one saw the Blossoms leading early over the Rangers 6-3. NWOSU tied the game at 8-8 before the lead changed three times, making it 16-16. The Rangers held Arkansas-Monticello to just one more point, taking the set, 17-25.
SECOND SET (15-25 NWOSU, NWOSU leads 2-0)
Arkansas-Monticello fell behind on the scoreboard quickly, trailing by 10, 13-3. NWOSU never let go of the reins in set two, despite the efforts from the Blossoms, who managed to make it up to 15 points on the board. It was not enough as the Rangers took set two, 25-15.
THIRD SET (25-19 UAM, NWOSU leads 2-1)
The Blossoms showcased one of the most powerful runs of the season, with the help of
Asaiah Littlefield as server to start set three. The Rangers took the first point of the set, prior to Arkansas-Monticello going on a 9-point run, which included four back-to-back serving aces from Littlefield, the most any Blossoms have had consecutively this season. The Blossoms were not out of the woods, as the Rangers climbed their way and cut the lead to just four, 14-10. NWOSU's efforts to sweep the Blossoms would stall, as UAM took set three, 25-19.
FOURTH SET (23-25 NWOSU, NWOSU wins 3-1)
Needing to win set four for a chance to take the match to a decisive set five, the Blossoms would see a set that featured eight ties. With the set tied 18-18, the Rangers took charge and made the set 24-22 with a match point on the line. Having used their final challenge, the Blossoms had to rely on errors from the Rangers to win the set. Arkansas-Monticello could only muster one more point, falling in the set to NWOSU 25-23, and the match 3-1.
