MONTICELLO, Ark. - The Arkansas-Monticello volleyball team hosted the Lady Bisons of Harding University, Thursday night inside Steelman Fieldhouse for the season's Halloween match. The Blossoms were looking for their first win over the Lady Bisons since 2015, but fell short in a 3-0 (16-25, 11-25, 14-25) loss to Harding.
UAM was held to a .091 hitting percentage on 48 digs, 25 assists, 3 blocks, 0 aces, and 27 kills.
SET-BY-SET
FIRST SET (16-25 HU, HU leads 1-0)
Set one started evenly matched for both sides of the net, 4-4, and remained closed as the Blossoms started to trail the Lady Bisons 9-11. Harding began to produce a strong offense, taking the lead 19-12. Arkansas-Monticello was only able to produce 4 more points, falling to the Lady Bisons 25-16.
SECOND SET (11-25 HU, HU leads 2-0)
Set two started just as even as set one, with both squads again tied 4-4. Unlike set one, the Lady Bisons halted the Blossoms in their tracks, leading the set 22-9. Harding allowed UAM just two more points, taking the set 25-11.
THIRD SET (14-25 HU, HU wins 3-0)
Arkansas-Monticello started set three on the wrong side of the scoreboard, down 10-6; however, the Blossoms' offense shone through, cutting the deficit to just three, 13-10. Eight straight points from the Lady Bisons brought the set to a 20-10 score. The Blossoms saw Harding outscore them 5-4 in the remaining 9 serves to take the set, 25-14, and the match 3-0.

- Jalen Scroggins surpassed 100 season kills with her six in the match.
- Evalyn Dang surpassed 200 career digs with her 4 in the match.
- Mia Smalls secured her 12th double-double of the season with her 19 assists and 11 digs, which also helped her surpass 300 season assists and 200 season digs.

The Blossoms return to the court next Tuesday, November 4, inside Steelman Fieldhouse as they welcome the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech University for this season's White Out game. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m., with all fans encouraged to wear white.
