MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the 2025 Great American Conference Championship on Saturday, at home in Monticello, to close out the 2025 season.
The Great American Conference Cross Country Championship is held yearly, on a rotating basis, at one of the 12 GAC universities. This year, Arkansas-Monticello was the hosting university with
Catie Tapp, Senior Woman Administrator / Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, and Cross Country Head Coach
Jacob Chisom at the reins. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, both the men's and women's cross teams were able to welcome Arkansas Tech, East Central, Harding, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Oklahoma Baptist, Ouachita Baptist, Southern Arkansas, Southern Nazarene, Southwestern Oklahoma State, and Southeastern Oklahoma State to Monticello.
The 2025 Cross Country GAC Academic Honor Roll featured

Sam Bostian,
Aidan Manley, and
James Perry representing UAM.
The men's team competed in the 8k race, with
Cody Carr leading with a final time of 30:41.23, while the women's team ran in the 5k race, with
Nicole Weaver pacing with a final time of 21:05.48.
