MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team traveled to Memphis, Tennessee Tuesday afternoon for a midweek meeting with the Buccaneers of Christian Brothers University. The Boll Weevils fell in nine innings, 13-12, after a late rally in the ninth from the Buccaneers.

Arkansas-Monticello put the first runs on the board in the top of the first.
Camden Tanner scored off an
Aidan Garrett single to the right side, and a throwing error from CBU's pitcher plated
Chase Cripps on an unearned run.
The Buccaneers added four runs between the first and third innings to take the lead. CBU would single to left field in the bottom of the first to plate a run and a single to right in the bottom of the second to earn their second run. The next two runs would score off a single to right field in the bottom of the third.
The Boll Weevils tied the game in the top of the fourth as
Eli Marvin doubled to centerfield to bring in
Will Owens. Marvin would advance home via a
Chaz Poppy single to left field.
Christian Brothers did not leave the game tied long as they plated a run in the bottom of the fourth off a UAM error.
Marvin singled to left field in the top of the fifth to score Garrett for Monticello, tying the game once more.
Kirk Woolf would break the tie in the sixth running in off a CBU fielders choice, Cripps would be sent in on a bases-loaded hit by pitch and a wild pitch from the Buccaneers would put an unearned run from
Aidan Garrett on the scoreboard, making it 8-5 UAM.
CBU made it an 8-7 ball game in the bottom of the sixth form a grounder and single.
The final four runs for UAM came in the seventh and eighth innings. Cripps singled in the seventh to bring in Tanner, while
Elijah Nichols hit a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Poppy.
With the game sitting, 12-7, the Bucs rallied with a one run homer, a two-run single, and a three-run walk-off home run, to take the lead by six runs, ending the afternoon meeting, 13-12.

Tyler Bribiescas started on the mound pitching 1.2 innings with three strikeouts, and two runs on five hits.

Trey Miller pitched 1.1 innings allowing two runs on two hits, with one strikeout.

Vincent Segovia was next for the Weevils pitching 1.0 inning allowing one run and recording one strikeout.

John White made a 2.0 inning appearance for UAM, striking out one and seeing four hits and two runs.

Aiden McGee was called upon for 2.0 innings and faced six batters.

Ethan Price faced three batters in the ninth allowing three runs on one hit.

Lane Imhoff closed the last 0.2 inning striking out two and allowing three runs on two hits.
