DURANT, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball team traveled to compete against out-of-state foe Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Thursday evening. The Blossoms came out with a 75-55 loss to the Savage Storm.
Bailey Harris led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (9-12, 4-11 GAC) as the lone Blossom in double-digits, scoring 13 points on the evening. Harris was 4-13 on total field goals, with 3-5 of them from distance. She was also 2-2 from the free throw line while contributing six total rebounds, five defensive and one offensive, two blocks, and an assist in her 27 minutes on the court.
Southeastern Oklahoma (14-7, 11-4 GAC)
was led by
Caitlin Kobiske with 26 points.
The opening quarter of the game was completely dominated by Southeastern, outscoring the Blossoms 25-10 in the first 10-minute period. UAM's offense found some momentum in the second, posting 14 points to the Savage Storm's 12. The teams were sent to the locker rooms at the half with Southeastern leading 37-24
Southeastern continued its offensive push in the second half, once again outscoring UAM. The Savage Storm won both of the final periods, eventually leading to a 75-55 loss for UAM.
Arkansas-Monticello committed 21
turnovers in the entirety of the match.

The Blossoms will play one last out of state conference game on Saturday, February 8. They will travel to East Central University to take on the Tigers with tip off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
