WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils traveled to Weatherford, Oklahoma for a conference series with Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) this weekend. UAM prevailed 5-3 in game one on Saturday but fell 3-2 in game two and 9-2 in the series decider on Sunday.

Game 1, 9 Innings

Arkansas-Monticello: 5, Southwestern Oklahoma State: 3

Scoring Recap:
1st Inning
- SWOSU was the first on the board, scoring a run on an RBI single up the middle.

2nd Inning
- Justin Santoyo drove in Chase Cripps on a double down the right-field line to tie the game at 1-1.

5th Inning
- Cripps walked with the bases loaded, scoring Camden Tanner on the play.
- Santoyo drove in Kirk Woolf for the third Boll Weevil run of the game.

6th Inning
- The Bulldogs tied the game up in the sixth, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly and another on a sacrifice bunt.

7th Inning
- Santoyo drove in his third RBI on a single to center-field. Chase Cripps scored on the drive.

8th Inning
- Cripps was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, plating Roc Hawthorne for UAM's fifth run of the game.

- Connor Irvine started on the bump, tossing 6.1 innings of work while allowing three earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out three batters.
- Nelson Mercado threw the final 2.2 innings, grabbing the save with five strikeouts.

- The winning run for SWOSU came on a throwing error, scoring after stealing third base.

- Maxim Mrakovcic tossed all 7.0 innings for UAM, allowing two earned runs and striking out four batters.

- Southwestern Oklahoma scored five runs in the second, plating the first on a sacrifice fly and the second on a ground out. The third and fourth runs came on a third infield error for UAM. The fifth run was scored on a single to left field.

8th Inning
- UAM got on the board in the eighth, scoring one run on an RBI single up the middle. Kirk Woolf crossed the plate on the play.

9th Inning
- Camden Tanner brought home the second Boll Weevil run on a triple to center field, bringing home Roc Hawthorne on the drive.

Pitching Performances
- Bryce Louis started on the bump, going 4.0 innings, while allowing one earned run on four hits with four strikeouts.
- Nathan McManus saw 1.0 inning, allowing no runs and no hits through three batters. He threw only nine pitches in the inning.
- Kyle Roop followed with 1.2 innings of work. He saw two earned runs scored on three hits with a strikeout.
- John White closed out the 0.1 inning left in the seventh.
- Trey Miller was the closer in Sunday's game, throwing the final inning with no runs and one hit allowed. He struck out one batter.
