ALVA, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to Alva, Oklahoma for a three-game conference meeting with the Lady Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The Blossoms split the Friday afternoon doubleheader, going 4-3 in game one, before falling 4-1 in game two.

NWOSU was on the board first, scoring off a single to left field in the second inning, before adding their final runs in the third off a double to left center that brought home two.
The Blossoms started the come-from-behind rally in the sixth as
Makenzie Martin reached second on a Lady Rangers error, allowing
Jade Keaton to score.
Arkansas-Monticello tied the game in the seventh as
Lexi Livezey and
Kammie Walker crossed home on a double from
Maddie Pfleging. The final run of the game came home as
Lainey Tippen scored on a sacrifice fly from
Jadyn Hart.

Kayla Olthouse started on the mound for the Blossoms going 3.0 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits with a strikeout.

Ronnie Johnson was called to pitch the remaining 4.0 innings, earning the win, while allowing only three hits and striking out two.

Northwestern plated the first two runs of game two in the second via a double to left center, before tacking on two more in the sixth on a double down the right field line, making it 4-0.
The Blossoms could only muster one run in the game, as
Jadyn Hart ran in on a single through the six-hole from
Sophie Wood.
