MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils baseball team has earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament, marking back-to-back bids to the NCAA Regionals for the second time in program history. (The first being the 2016 and 2017 seasons.)
With a 32-21 overall record, the Boll Weevils were selected as the No. 7 seed in the Central Region. Despite falling short in the Great American Conference Tournament to Henderson State, Arkansas-Monticello was able to claim its sixth trip to the regional tournament.
The NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament consists of two four-team, double-elimination pods. UAM will travel to Mankato, Minnesota, for its pod, hosted by the No. 2 seed Minnesota State Mavericks (49-6). The Boll Weevils will face the host school in their opening-round matchup. The pod will also see the No. 3 seed, Pittsburg State, and the No. 6 seed, and fellow GAC member, Henderson State.
Games in the Mankato pod will run from May 15 to May 18, with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals (May 22–24). The NCAA Division II Championship Finals will be held May 30–June 7 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
For the first time in conference history, the GAC will see four teams sent to the NCAA Central Region Tournament. Among them are No. 5 seed Arkansas Tech (31-21), No. 6 seed Henderson State (32-22), No. 7 seed Arkansas-Monticello (32-21), and No. 8 seed Harding (39-17).
All information regarding game time, live stream, live stats, tickets, and more will be shared on the 2025 Weevils Baseball schedule as the tournament nears.
