Enid, Okla. – The Arkansas-Monticello baseball teams Great American Conference tournament run came to a close on Saturday night, as they fell to Henderson State Reddies, 4-3.

The Weevils struck first in the ball game as
Justin Santoyo would cross home on a sacrifice fly in the second.
Henderson State found their way on the board to tie it 1-1 in the sixth.
The tie would not last long as UAM answered back with two of their own in the bottom of the inning with
Kirk Woolf scoring on a wild pitch, followed by
Chaz Poppy on a bases-loaded walk.
The Reddies would seal the conference tournament in their favor in the seventh off a fly out and a home run to take the game, 4-3.
Pitching Performances:

Ruben Macias started on the mound for the Weevils pitching 5.1 innings allowing one run on five hits, striking out two in the process.

Nathan McManus was called from the bullpen and struck out two, allowing one run on one hit.

Nelson Mercado suffered the setback on the mound allowing two runs on two hits, with one strike out in his 1.0 innings pitched.

Trey Miller closed out the remaining 2.0 innings, allowing just three hits.

If Arkansas-Monticello does not receive a bid to the regional tournament, the 2025 season will come to a close with the final 2025 record being 32-21.
