TULSA, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's golf team opened its 2025-2026 season at the NSU Men's Golf Classic in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Weevils finished the first day of the preview in
20th place, with a two round combined score of
+31,
firing +20 in round one and

in round two.
The Weevils shot a combined score of 599, 31-over par.
Central Oklahoma finished atop the leaderboard after day one
at 18-under par (550). Fellow Great American Conference member Arkansas Tech sits in
fourth, posting a total of 556 (-12).
Sophomore
Landry Rogers led the Boll Weevils on day one, tied for 16th place at 3-under par (139). Rogers posted a first-round of 71 (E), followed by a second-round of 68 (-3).
Sophomore
Carson Slaughter shot a first-round of 77 (+6), before posting a second-round of 72 (+1), to finish day one tied for 82nd at 7-over par (149).
Senior
Daniel Taylor finished tied for 101st at 13-over par (155), after firing a first-round of 79 (+8) and 5-over par (76) in the second-round.
Incoming freshman
Camden Henson fired a first-round of 77 (+6), before posting a second-round score of 79 (+8) to finish the day with an overall score of 156 (+14), tying for 104th.

Blayden Gillham closed out the Weevils on day one finished in 106th at 15-over par (157), after posting a score of 3-over par (74) in round one and 12-over par (83) in round two.
The Boll Weevils combined for 23 birdies for the day, 9 in round one and 14 in round two, with Rogers leading the day with 11.
