GAC Volleyball
MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Volleyball team travels to San Angelo, Texas, this weekend to compete in the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational for the 2025 season opener. The 2025 campaign will mark the 21st season in program history.
Coming off a 4-22, 2024 season, the Blossoms are looking to rewrite their story this season to build and leave a legacy that is bigger than them. The 2025 squad is led by Head Coach Arlicia Ortiz, who took the reins of the program last July, and is assisted by newly hired Assistant Coach Breanna Walp.
"Pre-season has been so much fun," says Head Coach Arlicia Ortiz. "From seeing the girls grow as a team and as friends, to the way they've been growing as volleyball players, makes me very excited. We've been working really hard and focusing on us. This weekend we're going to face a lot of national-level talent, and that'll be a great starting point, because that is where we want to be."
