LAST MEETING | ALL-TIME SERIES
Mississippi College - The Weevils were victorious in their last meeting with the Statesmen winning 7-6 in Cleveland. The Boll Weevils secured the first two runs of the game in the first as Kirk Woolf and Chaz Poppy crossed home plate off a throwing error from DSU.  In the third inning, Arkansas-Monticello extended their lead by scoring five more runs on four hits. Poppy singled to right, bringing Woolf home. Then, with the bases loaded, Kyle Tolley hit a grand slam over the left field wall, driving in Poppy, Camden Tanner, and Justin Santoyo. The Statesmen found a run in the fourth, and two runs off a home run and sacrifice fly in the fifth to cut the lead to, 7-3. DSU added what proved to be the final runs of the night in the eighth in a late rally as three statesmen scored off a single and a throwing error from UAM. Dylan Vail would hold the Statesmen scoreless in the final inning to help the Weevils secure the 7-6 win. Tyler Bribiescas secured the win for the Weevils on the night. | The Statesman hold the overall record against the Boll Weevils, 9-67, dating back to the first game held in February of 1986. The first win for the Weevils wouldn't come until February of 1993. At home in Monticello, the Weevils are 5-25, and away they sit at 4-40. When both teams played in the Gulf South Conference, the conference record was 1-34 (Statesman). The largest margin of victory was a 17-9 win in March of 2018. Through 76 games played Monticello has plated 345 runs, averaging 4.54 runs per game.

Oklahoma Baptist - Friday and Saturday's games will mark the 33rd-35th meetings between the two teams. The last time these two teams squared off on the field was in February of 2025, a 1-2 series loss for the Weevils. UAM went 3-6 in game one, followed by a 16-8 win in the second half of the doubleheader. In the final game of the series, the Bison put up a fight with the Weevils but secured a 19-11 win, taking the conference series 2-1 over UAM.| The Weevils and Bison have met on the field 32 times prior to this weekend, with UAM holding an 18-14 record over Oklahoma Baptist.
