LAST MEETING
The men in green and white fell the last time out to the Buccaneers, 12-13 in Memphis. Arkansas-Monticello put the first runs on the board in the top of the first. Camden Tanner scored off an Aidan Garrett single to the right side, and a throwing error from CBU's pitcher plated Chase Cripps on an unearned run. The Buccaneers added four runs between the first and third innings to take the lead. CBU would single to left field in the bottom of the first to plate a run and a single to right in the bottom of the second to earn their second run. The next two runs would score off a single to right field in the bottom of the third. The Boll Weevils tied the game in the top of the fourth as Eli Marvin doubled to centerfield to bring in Will Owens. Marvin would advance home via a Chaz Poppy single to left field. Christian Brothers did not leave the game tied long as they plated a run in the bottom of the fourth off a UAM error. Marvin singled to left field in the top of the fifth to score Garrett for Monticello, tying the game once more. Kirk Woolf would break the tie in the sixth running in off a CBU fielders choice, Cripps would be sent in on a bases-loaded hit by pitch and a wild pitch from the Buccaneers would put an unearned run from Aidan Garrett on the scoreboard, making it 8-5 UAM. CBU made it an 8-7 ball game in the bottom of the sixth form a grounder and single. The final four runs for UAM came in the seventh and eighth innings. Cripps singled in the seventh to bring in Tanner, while Elijah Nichols hit a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Poppy. With the game sitting, 12-7, the Bucs rallied with a one run homer, a two-run single, and a three-run walk-off home run, to take the lead by six runs, ending the afternoon meeting, 13-12.
