Blossoms Fall to 14th-Ranked Harding Lady Bisons

SEARCY, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball team traveled to Searcy, Arkansas, for its final GAC meeting with the #14-ranked Lady Bisons of Harding University. The Blossoms came out of the contest with an 82-48 loss.

Jena Warden led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (6-21,1-20 GAC), posting 15 points on the game. Warden was 5-for-11 in total field goals with a season-high four three-pointers made, while hitting one free throw. She also contributed one defensive rebound for the Blossoms.

Senior Alindsey Long was the other Blossom in double-digits, scoring 10 on the night. Long was 4-for-13 on field goals with a three-pointer and one free throw made. She grabbed two rebounds, while dishing out two assists, blocking one shot, and making one steal.

Harding (23-4,17-4 GAC) was led by Allie Rehl with 14 points.

The opening half of the game was a battle for the Blossoms, falling behind in the first quarter to Harding, 18-9. UAM retaliated in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Bisons 14-11 in the second 10-minute period. Arkansas-Monticello shot for 28% on the half, compared to Harding's 38.46%, and would see the teams sent to the locker rooms at the half with HU leading, 29-23.

Harding took control of the remainder of the game in the second half, outscoring UAM 30-9 in the third quarter and 23-17 in the fourth. The contest would conclude with an 82-48 loss for the Blossoms.

Arkansas-Monticello committed 14 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

The Blossoms will conclude the 2025-2026 campaign on Saturday, February 28, in Steelman Field House, taking on the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist at 1:00 p.m. Saturday will also be Senior Day, with Women's Basketball and UAM Athletics honoring Alindsey Long.
