MONTICELLO, Ark. – Caden Carney hit a walk-off single shot RBI to right field to lift the Boll Weevils to a 9-8 win in the bottom of the 10th Tuesday evening at Union Bank Park.

Trailing 5-8 heading into the ninth, the Weevils tied the game with a solo shot and a single. After holding Delta State scoreless in the top of the 10th, Gabe Kuttenkuler found home thanks to Carney to end the game.

Scoring Recap:
Delta State was first on the board in the top of the first off a groundout to shortstop that plated a run.

The Boll Weevils found their first run in the bottom of the second off a DSU wild pitch that brought in Darcy Barry. One inning later, UAM made it a 4-1 ball game as Caden Carney produced a bases-clearing triple that plated Barry, Jackson Riedling, and Eli Marvin.

Barry saw himself crossing home once more off another DSU wild pitch.

The Statesmen tied the game at five in the top of the sixth off a three-run homer to right center and a sacrifice fly to centerfield. Delta State took the lead once more in the eighth, adding three runs on a bunt, a UAM error, and a wild pitch, making it 8-6.

Headed to the bottom of the ninth, the Boll Weevils mounted a comeback, starting with a solo home run over the left field wall by Barry. Rielding would follow with a single to center that plated Elijah Olaybal and Camden Tanner to tie the game 8-8, forcing extra innings.

After holding DSU blank in the top of the tenth, Gabe Kuttenkuler would single to reach first, and move to second off a sacrifice fly, bringing Caden Carney to the plate. Carney walked the game off for the Weevils with a single to right field, which plated Kuttenkuler to help UAM win 9-8.

Pitching Performances:
- Ryan Mesaris started on the mound for the Weevils, allowing one run on two hits with one strikeout in his 3.0 innings of work.
- Alberto Oropeza was called to pitch for 2.0 innings, allowing just two hits, while striking out one batter.
- Bryce McGuire entered the game for the UAM and allowed three runs on three hits in his time on the mound.
- Nathan McManus found himself on the mound for the Weevils, allowing one run on one hit in his appearance.
- Tyler Vincent got the call to pitch, seeing 1.2 innings of work, allowing three runs on three hits, while striking out two batters.
- John White was called in to close out the top of the eighth and faced one batter, striking him out.
- Cody Graf earned the win on the rubber, pitching 2.0 innings, allowing just one hit, while striking out three batters.
