Boll Weevils Take Down Buccaneers in Extras

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils hosted Christian Brothers University at Union Bank Park on Tuesday afternoon. The Weevils came out of the midweek with a 4-3 win over the Buccaneers in 11 innings. Kyle Tolley drove in the winning run on a ball through the left side.

Scoring Recap:
Christian Brothers was the first team on the board, scoring two runs in the top of the first. Both runs were scored on hits to left field, with the first a double and the second a single. UAM grabbed one back in the bottom of the inning, as Daniel Lizarraga touched home on a bases-loaded walk.

Camden Tanner drove in a second run for the Boll Weevils in the fourth, driving in Gavin Shuttlesworth on a double down the left field line.

CBU scored a third run in the top of the 10th, scoring a run on an RBI double off the wall in left-center field.

Kyle Tolley kicked off the bottom of the tenth with a roped triple to deep center field. Tanner brought home Tolley on a ground ball to tie the game 3-3.

Tolley drove in the game-winner in the seventh, scoring Jackson Riedling on a walk-off through the left side of the infield. UAM took the contest, 4-3.

Pitching Performances:
- Ryan Mesaris started on the mound for the Boll Weevils, totaling 2.0 innings with two earned runs on three hits. He struck out two batters and walked one.
- Max French took to the bump in the third, throwing 2.0 innings with no runs and no hits. He struck out one and walked one batter each.
- Dawson Morrill saw 1.0 inning of work on the afternoon, allowing no runs and no hits with a strikeout and a walk.
- Luke Eaton made an appearance to open the sixth, going 1.0 inning with one hit allowed.
- Joshua Tribe tossed 1.0 inning, striking out two of three batters faced.
- Tyler Vincent had 1.0 inning of work, allowing two hits and no runs.
- Cody Graf was the seventh pitcher of the afternoon for UAM, tossing 1.2 innings with one earned run on one hit with three strikeouts and one walk.
- John White was the final pitcher of the afternoon, collecting his third win of the season in 1.1 innings pitched. He struck out two batters and allowed only one hit.

- Camden Tanner - 1-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI, and 1 BB
- Daniel Lizarraga - 2-for-4 with 2 BB and 1 run scored
- Jackson Riedling - 2-for-5 with a double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, and 1 BB
- Kyle Tolley - 2-for-5 with a triple, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is on the road this upcoming weekend, headed to Alva, Oklahoma, for a three-game contest with the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The series will commence on Friday, March 20, with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader at Glass Family Field at Myers Stadium.
