The Blossom offense took control early in game one, scoring two runs in the top of the first.
Dacia Sexton drove in
Aubree Goodnight for the first on a single to right.
Maddie Moore brought home
Kylie Bonicelli on an infield single, closing the inning with a 2-0 lead for UAM.
Mississippi College responded with a run in the bottom of the inning, scoring on an infield single.
Lainey Tippen plated the third run of the ballgame for Arkansas-Monticello, coming home on a dingle to center field from
Aubree Goodnight.
The Choctaws took the lead over the third and fourth innings. They scored two runs in the third on an RBI single, and two in the fourth on an RBI double and a passed ball.
No more runs were scored in the remainder of the game, eventually concluding with a 5-3 loss for UAM.
