Softball Drops Series Finale Doubleheader to Harding

SEARCY, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms softball team concluded its time in Searcy on Saturday, falling in the doubleheader to the Lady Bisons, 2-0 in game one, and 7-0 in game three.

Harding scored the only two runs of the game, off a fielder's choice in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.

Pitching Performances
- Kayla Olthouse pitched all 6.0 innings for the Blossoms, suffering the setback in the circle, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out two batters.

The Lady Bisons were the only team to score in game three. Placing five runs in the bottom of the third, off a double to left center, and a 3 run homer to left field. The remaining two runs came in the sixth off a double down the left field line and a single up the middle. Taking the game 7-0, and the series 3-0.

Pitching Performances
- Makenzie Martin pitched 2.0 innings for the Blossoms, suffering the setback, allowing five runs on five hits, with one strikeout.
- Ronnie Johnson pitched the remaining 4.0 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits.

Arkansas-Monticello Softball returns to the diamond on Thursday, April 2, as they meet the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist at Alvy Early Field on Thursday/Friday to avoid overlapping with the holiday weekend. Thursday will see the Blossoms in a doubleheader commencing at 3:00 p.m.
