MONTICELLO, Ark. - Due to inclement weather forecasted for Arkadelphia, Arkansas this weekend, the Arkansas-Monticello baseball team has moved up their conference series with the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist to Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3. The Boll Weevils will play a solo contest on Thursday at 1:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Friday starting at 12:00 p.m. at Rab Rodgers Field.

LAST MEETING
Non-Conference Mid-Week: The Weevils sought a redemption in their 2025 non-conference midweek, after dropping the conference series 0-3. The Weevils came out of the midweek with a 7-3 victory. The Boll Weevils came out swing scoring two runs in the first inning as Kirk Woolf scored on a single from Camden Tanner, and a single from Elijah Nichols brought in Chaz Poppy. The Tigers struck back in the bottom of the first adding three runs. These would be the only runs Arkansas-Monticello would allow for the remainder of the game. UAM retook the lead and never looked back adding two runs in the second as Woolf homered to bring in Brodie Romero. Woolf would help add the fifth run in the fourth doubling to round Kyle Tolley, before finding himself coming home off an OBU fielders choice. The final run for the Boll Weevils crossed in the sixth as Poppy found his way in off a sacrifice fly. The Tigers could not produce any more runs in the ninth, securing a 7-3 victory for UAM. Bryce Louis entered to pitch 2.0 innings, allowing only two hits while striking out two batters to earn the win on the mound, while Nelson Mercado got the call to enter the game, striking out one batter of the four he faced, earning the save.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Weevils lead in the all-time series, 78-56, a record that dates back to the first ever contest in March of 1976 a 5-8 loss for UAM. The Boll Weevils saw the longest win streak in program history over the Tigers between April 13, 1998 and March 29, 2003 at a record 21 games. While the largest margin of victory came in the Harvey era, a 17-3 win in April of 2021. The Weevils are 36-25 in Cello, 36-28, and 48-48 in conference. Through 134 games, the Weevils have plated 856 runs averaging 6.39 runs per game.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE WEEVILS
The Weevils secured a 12-7 victory over the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas Unviersity Tuesday evening. Kyle Tolley leads the Weevils in triples with four, after securing two in the contest. He becomes the first Boll Weevil to record two triples and a double in the same game in the John Harvey era.
