UAM welcomes Hendrix College on Thursday

The UAM women’s basketball team will host Hendrix College on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Steelman Field House in Monticello, Arkansas. The Blossoms will look to remain undefeated through their first four games of the regular season.

The Blossoms 3-0 start is its best start to a season since 2008-09. That year, UAM went 6-0 before losing its first game. They finished with a 21-9 record and were an NCAA South Region Semi-finalist.
 
UAM's top two scorers are Berniezha Tidwell and Mekaylan Hicks. Tidwell is averaging 14.0 points per game and Hicks is at 10.0 points per game.

Hendrix College is a member of the NCAA Division III Southern Athletic Association and are currently 1-0 with a 64-57 win at Centenary.
 
Through one contest, the Warriors have a pair of players who've managed double figures in scoring in Anissa Gutierrez and Ali Isbell with 16.0 points and 10.0 points, respectively.
 
Kessie Jenkins and Serena Pruitt were the team's best at crashing the boards with Jenkins totaling 16 boards and Pruitt adding 10.
