Monticello, Ark. - Each week the Weekly Weevil Write Up takes a closer look at what's in store for the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the coming days.

After a week full of cancellations and postponements due to the winter weather across the region, several UAM teams will be back in action this week.
 

Baseball

Full Schedule

The UAM baseball team will finally get to start the 2021 campaign at Weevils Field with a three-game series against Northwestern Oklahoma State Friday and Saturday.

Friday will be a doubleheader with game one starting at noon and the series will wrap up with first pitch for game three also at noon Saturday.

Women's Basketball Schedule

The UAM women's basketball team returns to the court for the first time since January 21 at Harding. The Blossom host Southern Arkansas Monday, Feb. 22, at 5:30 p.m. UAM will then travel to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday, Feb. 25 and wrap up the regular season at home Saturday, Feb. 27, against Henderson State.

The UAM men's basketball team will take the court for the final three contests of the regulars season by hosting Southern Arkansas Monday, Feb. 22, traveling to Ouachita Baptist Thursday, Feb. 25, and finally battling Henderson State at Steelman Field House Friday, Feb. 27.

The Weevils and the Blossoms will celebrate Senior Day Saturday afternoon before each team takes on Henderson State.

Softball

Full Schedule

The Blossoms softball team will make its 2021 debut on the road Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27, against Northwestern Oklahoma State.

UAM will play a doubleheader Friday with the first game starting at 3 p.m. The Blossoms will finish the three-game series in Alva, Oklahoma Saturday with the first pitch set for noon.

Volleyball

The UAM volleyball team hosts Southern Arkansas Tuesday night, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m. at Steelman Field House.

The Blossoms will also make up the game against Henderson State that was canceled last week because of the winter weather. That match will be played at Henderson State Friday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m.
