MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms volleyball team (3-22, 0-14 GAC) is preparing to welcome the Reddies of Henderson State University (14-14, 6-8 GAC) to Monticello on Tuesday, November 11, at 6:00 p.m. for their final home match of the 2025 season. Tuesday night is not only rodeo night (all fans are encouraged to dress up), it's also senior night where the Blossoms will honor the four graduating seniors on the squad.
Starting at approximately 5:30 p.m., UAM Volleyball and UAM Athletics will honor and recognize the following four seniors for their hard work and dedication to Blossoms Volleyball:
Mia Smalls,
Isneydy De La Rosa,
Licia Echevarria, and
Xaria Pearson.

All-TIME SERIES
Henderson State University - This is the 41st meeting between the Blossoms and the Reddies. Henderson State leads the series, 26-14. In the last meeting on September 30 in Arkadelphia, UAM lost 3-0 (21-25, 13-25, 16-25). The Blossoms last beat the Reddies on September 15, 2022, with a 3-0 sweep in Arkadelphia. At home, the Blossoms trail 7-13. Away, they are behind 7-13. Their conference record is 13-26.
LAST MEETING
Henderson State University - The opening set began with Arkansas-Monticello falling behind in the scoreboard, 7-2, to Henderson State. The Reddies' offense pushed forth to extend their lead, 13-4. The Blossoms would not give up, cutting the deficit to just one point, 22-21, but HSU took the first set, 25-21, following a 3-0 rally. Set two began evenly matched, with the Blossoms and Reddies tied 4-4. After exchanging points back and forth, Henderson State pulled ahead with a 6-0 rally to push them into a 16-7 advantage. The Blossoms could not break the deficit as the Reddies rallied to take set two, 25-13. The third set looked to be similar to the second, with both teams tied 5-5. Henderson State would flip the set in their favor, taking the lead by adding 17 points to UAM's 6, to bring the set to 22-11. The Blossoms' last minute rally proved unsuccessful as the Reddies would take the final set, 25-16, and the match, 3-0. UAM was held to a .061 hitting percentage on 52 digs, 26 assists, 2 blocks, 5 aces, and 27 kills.
BLOSSOMS BY THE NUMBERS
- Arkansas-Monticello has played 70 sets this season, averaging a .080 hitting percentage. The team averages 16.30 digs, 9.20 kills, 8.43 assists, 1.13 blocks, and 1.34 service aces per set.
- Jordan Wehr ranks seventh in the conference in digs, averaging 4.44 (275) in 62 sets played.
- Brooklynn Meredith ranks ninth in the conference in service aces, averaging 0.37 (13) in 35 sets played.
BLOSSOM SEASON LEADERS
The Blossoms are led on the court by; kills, Sophia Grubbs (137), aces, Mia Smalls (14), digs, Jordan Wehr (296), blocks, Jalen Scroggins (31), and assists, Mia Smalls (357). Leading UAM in double-doubles is Mia Smalls with 13, with one being a triple-double. The Lone Star native earned the triple-double feat against Christian Brothers (9/20/25) with 10 kills, 13 assists, and 11 digs.
BLOSSOM HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK
- Arkansas Tech
- Mia Smalls surpassed 2,000 career assists during the match with her 23 on the evening. Smalls now ranks third in total career assists at 2,011.
- Jordan Wehr surpassed 700 career digs with her 15 on the evening.
LAST TIME OUT THIS SEASON
The Blossoms went 0-2 the last time out, falling to the Golden Suns (24-26, 14-25, 25-27) in three, and the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist in three sets (15-25, 22-25, 16-25) on Tuesday, November 4, and Thursday, November 6, respectively.
ENTRANCE, RESTROOMS AND CONCESSIONS CHANGES
- Due to current renovations to Steelman Fieldhouse, the following have been changed:
- The entrance for the 2025 season will be on the west side of Steelman next to the football field. Home fans will have to wait between serves to cross to the home bleachers once the match commences.
- Portable bathrooms for all fans are on the opposite side of the Steelman next to the baseball field.
- There will be no concessions available for home matches, and outside food and drinks will not be allowed into the gym.
