Men's Basketball Release 2025-26 Schedule

MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team has unveiled its 28-game slate for the upcoming season, which includes six preseason match-ups ahead of the challenging Great American Conference schedule.

The Weevils will open the year on the road in Talequah, Oklahoma, with two games in the 2025 Central Region Challenge. The challenge is hosted by Northeastern State University at the NSU Event Center. The two-day challenge will take place from November 14-15. The Boll Weevils will tip off the season on Friday, November 14, facing Northeastern State University from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). UAM is looking to take another win after beating the RiverHawks 61-50 in the 2011 season. The Weevils will return to the court on Saturday, November 15, for a match with the University of Central Oklahoma. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Head Coach Chad Tapp and the Weevils aim to build early-season momentum as they kick off a two-game home stretch following the challenge.

Following the Talequah trip, the team returns to Steelman Fieldhouse for two non-conference games, with one game against Hendrix College, a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). The Weevils beat Hendrix 72-45 last year, which was their most recent meeting since 1991. The Weevils will tip off at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, November 18. Following this match, UAM will face Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) member Arkansas Baptist College on November 20th at 5:30 p.m. The Weevils sit with a record of 27-4 against the Buffaloes. The Weevils have won the last 3 match-ups between the two and look to take another victory at home as their home record stands at 20-2.

The Weevils will conclude their non-conference schedule with games against Delta State University and Ecclesia College. UAM will host both the Statesmen of Delta State University on Tuesday, November 25, at 6:00 p.m. Then the Royals of Ecclesia College on Saturday, November 29 at 3:00 p.m. UAM currently holds an undefeated record of 9-0 against the Royals, with all games being played at home.
