MCGEHEE, AR. - The UAM Athletics Department held its annual Athletics Auction Fundraiser on Friday, March 14. The event is an annual fundraiser used to raise money for the benefit of all student-athletes within the UAM Athletics Department.

The event was an incredible success and once again proved to be a smashing hit with athletics supporters, bringing in around $48,000 on the night. The funds raised will not only benefit individual programs, but will also go towards the continuation of the Legacy Campaign.

  

Before the auction commenced, Athletic Director Hud Jackson shared with the attendees all of the current completed projects of the Legacy Campaign. Among the completed projects are the Kenneth H. Hunt Athletic Performance Center, upgrades to the football locker room, a brand new baseball locker room, and the most recent addition: Lights on the baseball and softball fields.

"We were very happy with the outcome of our annual auction for athletics," said Jackson. "It's always exciting to have so many people coming together for such a great cause. We look forward to continuing to build this auction so that we can move forward with the projects we have been working on. Very grateful for the outstanding work of our athletic staff on this project."



The Legacy Campaign is the next big step for UAM Athletics, focused on enhancing the support of student-athletes through major facility improvements. The five-phase project is built around improving the quality of facilities our exceptional student-athletes and prospective student-athletes deserve.
