DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The UAM Cheer team completed the prelims for their NCA College Nationals appearance in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday. They head into the finals of the competition on Saturday afternoon after coming out of the prelims in 7th place.

After coming out of the prelims with a raw score of 80.0667, the team holds a seventh-place position out of 25 teams competing in the division. The team saw no deduction and holds an event score of 22.2407 going into Saturday. The top five teams coming out of the prelims, from first to fifth, are: Saginaw Valley State (84.4333, 23.2662), Lubbock Christian (83.4667, 22.8727), Arkansas-Fort Smith (82.2667, 22.8519), the University of Texas-Permian Basin (81.7, 22.5695), and Northeastern State (81.8333, 22.544).
