MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Volleyball team continues GAC action this Thursday, October 1, and Friday, October 2, as they take on the Tigers of East Central Oklahoma and the Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Thursday's matchup with the Tigers is set for a 6:00 p.m. serve inside Kerr Activities Center, and the matchup with the Storm on Friday is set for 4:00 p.m. inside the Bloomer Sullivan Gym.
All-TIME SERIES
East Central University - This will be the 19th meeting between the Weevils and the Tigers. UAM and East Central are currently tied 9-9 in the all-time series. The last meeting between the two teams came on October 9, 2025, in Monticello, resulting in a 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 13-25) loss for UAM. The Weevils' last win over the Tigers came on October 25, 2019, in Ada, Oklahoma, when UAM earned a 3-0 victory. At home, the Weevils and Tigers are tied 4-4, while they hold a 2-5 record on the road and a 6-9 overall conference record against East Central.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University - This will be the 20th meeting between the Weevils and the Savage Storm. Southeastern holds a 6-13 advantage over UAM in the all-time series. The last meeting between the two teams took place on October 10, 2025, in Monticello, resulting in a 3-0 (21-26, 17-25, 17-25) loss for UAM. The last win for the ladies in green and white came on October 14, 2022, in Durant, Oklahoma, when the Weevils earned a 3-2 victory. At home, the Weevils are tied up 4-4, while they hold a 2-5 record on the road and an 6-9 overall conference record against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
LAST MEETING
East Central University - The opening set began evenly matched as Arkansas-Monticello and East Central vied over possession of leadership. The Weevils and Tigers exchanged points back-and-forth, tying up the set seven times, to bring the set to 20-20. The Tigers reclaimed the lead by adding five more points over the next seven serves to win the first set, 25-22. Arkansas-Monticello started the second set behind in the scoreboard, 6-2, however, the Weevils quickly responded with a 3-0 rally to bring themselves within one. The Tigers' offense pulled ahead to give themselves a 17-10 advantage. The Weevils worked hard to hold off the Tigers, cutting the deficit to three points, but ECU remained victorious in the end, 25-20. UAM saw themselves down early in the third and final set, 8-3. East Central would not relinquish control as the Tigers pulled away from the Monticello defense, 19-6. The Weevils were unable to catch the Tigers as the deficit was too large, with ECU taking the final set, 25-13, and the match, 3-0.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University - The opening set began evenly matched as Arkansas-Monticello and Southeastern Oklahoma State battled back-and-forth for the lead, 14-14, seeing the set tie nine times. The Savage Storm flipped the set in their favor following a 3-0 rally. The Weevils were unable to hold off the Savage Storm as SE took the first set, 25-21. UAM saw themselves down early in the second set, 9-6, however, six consecutive points from the Savage Storm would see them pull away to 15-6. The Weevils fought to catch up with the Savage Storm, but UAM came up short as SE pushed forth to take the second set, 25-17. The third set looked to be similar to the second with the Weevils starting behind in the scoreboard, 7-2. The Savage Storm's offense pulled ahead extending their lead, 13-6. UAM would not give up, cutting the deficit to four points, 18-14, but SE rallied to take the final set, 25-17, and the match, 3-0.
