ENID, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team earned widespread recognition from the Great American Conference (GAC) as nine players received postseason honors and 16 student-athletes were named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll ahead of the 2025 GAC Baseball Championships.
First Team All-GAC
- Chaz Poppy (Catcher)
One of the most dominant offensive performers in the conference, Poppy led the GAC with a .495 on-base percentage and posted a .391 batting average. He also ranked top-three in hits, RBI, and triples. Poppy's defensive prowess was recognized as well with a selection to the All-GAC Defensive Team, highlighting his complete impact behind the plate.
- Kirk Woolf (Outfielder)
Woolf led the league in triples and walks, and was third in runs scored, catalyzing the Weevils' lineup. His defensive consistency in the outfield earned him All-GAC Defensive Team honors alongside his First Team selection.
Second Team All-GAC
- Connor Irvine (Pitcher)
- Maxim Mrakovcic (Pitcher)
- Justin Santoyo (Infielder)
- Camden Tanner (Designated Hitter)
These four made a major impact throughout the season. Mrakovcic anchored the pitching staff with strong outings, while Irvine, Santoyo, and Tanner provided steady offensive production and versatility in the lineup.
Honorable Mention All-GAC
- Nelson Mercado (Pitcher)
Mercado contributed valuable innings and emerged as a reliable option on the mound, earning a spot among the conference's top-tier pitchers.
All-GAC Defensive Team
- Cade Cancilla (First Base)
- Roc Hawthorne (Outfield)
Cancilla and Hawthorne joined Poppy and Woolf on the All-Defensive Team, showcasing the Weevils' strength not just at the plate but across the field.
GAC Academic Honor Roll
