MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team returns to Alvy Early Softball Field at Ryburn Park Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, for a three game series against Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Friday, will see the Blossoms open the series with a doubleheader at 3:00 p.m., followed by the series finale on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

LAST MEETING
The Blossoms fell to the Rangers in the last GAC meeting in 2025, 1-4, 4-3, 6-5. The Blossoms split the first two games of the series. NWOSU was on the board first, scoring off a single to left field in the second inning, before adding their final runs in the third off a double to left center that brought home two. The Blossoms started the come-from-behind rally in the sixth as Makenzie Martin reached second on a Rangers error, allowing Jade Keaton to score. Arkansas-Monticello tied the game in the seventh as Lexi Livezey and Kammie Walker crossed home on a double from Maddie Pfleging. The final run of the game came home as Lainey Tippen scored on a sacrifice fly from Jadyn Hart. Ronnie Johnson pitched the last 4.0 innings, earning the win, while allowing only three hits and striking out two. Northwestern plated the first two runs of game two in the second via a double to left center, before tacking on two more in the sixth on a double down the right field line, making it 4-0. The Blossoms could only muster one run in the game, as Jadyn Hart ran in on a single through the six-hole from Sophie Wood. In the third and final game of the series, Northwestern was once again the first on the board, scoring a run off a triple in the bottom of the fourth. This was followed by an unearned run in the fifth off a single up the middle, taking a 2-0 lead. The Blossoms tied the game, 2-2, in the sixth as Cada Collins tripled to right field to bring in Kammie Walker and Jade Keaton.  A run was plated home off a single to right field in the bottom of the inning for the Rangers, allowing them to take the lead once more. UAM mounted a rally to take the lead, scoring three runs. Dacia Sexton started the rally by coming in off a single from Kylie Bonicelli, and Bonicelli and Jadyn Hart would round home off a single from Collins.  Not going out quietly, the Rangers would take the ball game, 6-5, after a double that crossed two home and a bases-loaded walk bringing in the final run.
