SCOUTING THE WEEVILS
The Weevils enter this game having lost three straight games, most recently on the road at Southern Arkansas falling, 72-63. OBU has lost four consecutive games dating back to January 4th. On Thursday it lost on the road at Henderson State, 88-68.

UAM is currently on its longest losing streak this season, but despite the losses, the Weevils remain one of the best offensive teams in the country. UAM is 15th in NCAA Division II in scoring offense (89.2 ppg) and 18th in total assists (286). The Weevils carry a +11.5-scoring margin, are shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from downtown.

UAM is also continuing to get it done on the glass currently ranking fourth in DII in total rebounds at 743 and 19th in rebounds per game at 41.3. UAM has also been getting plenty of second-chance points ranking 27th in offensive boards per game at 13.3.

Good news for UAM as it returns home on Saturday is that the Weevils are undefeated at home thus far in 2019-20 with an 8-0 record.

Even with the struggles, UAM can still rely on a handful of players for their numerous strengths. At the forefront of that, guard KJ Lesure. Lesure is averaging 18.5 points per game, 6.4 assists per game and 4.3 rebounds per contest. He's shooting lights out this year at 47.5 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from downtown. His 116 total assists this year are good enough for seventh in Division II.

Joining Lesure as one of the top performers is Justin Slocum who is second on the roster in points per game at 15.5 and second in rebounds per game with 6.8. He's coming off a double-double at SAU on Thursday in which he had 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Marcus Gilbert has been reliable in several different ways this season. He is first in the country in total minutes played (666:59) and is scoring 13.5 points per game shooting 46.8 percent from the field.

Another key player this year is Denzel McDuffey. He's been the Weevils top defensive player ranking first in blocks (22) and second in steals (34) while snagging a team-best 8.1 rebounds per game.
