Becca was raised in Dermott by her late mother, Elaine Tipton, and father, David Tipton. She has an older brother, Park Tipton, who is a physical therapist at South Arkansas Rehabilitation. She has a wonderful husband, Jonathan Greenwood, and two little boys, Kye and J.B. who love to hunt, fish, play baseball, basketball, and rodeo. She graduated from Drew Central High School in 2006 where she played tennis, softball, basketball, and ran cross country. She then attended UAM where she played softball from 2006-2010 and received her masters as well from 2013-2015. She received numerous national, regional, and conference recognitions, including GSC Freshman of the Year, ESPN All-Academic Team, GSC All South Region Player of the Year, and 1st Team All American. During her time at UAM she enjoyed working for Coach Alvy Early in the athletic department and had amazing professors who were very supportive. While playing softball for UAM, she worked for Jennie Finch at numerous softball camps and helped host a softball camp in Poland. After graduating from UAM, Becca worked at Monticello Middle School as a teacher and coach. She then became a special education teacher and is currently a teacher and coach at Drew Central High School. Some of Becca's greatest memories were made during her time at UAM.
Since her graduation in 2010, Greenwood's name stands out above most in the UAM and GSC record books. She holds top 10 placings in many individual season records, including at-bats (216), runs scored (52), home runs (15), total bases (175), SLG (.810 & .801), and OBP (.511).
