Harold Mobley was a sharp-shooting guard who led the Boll Weevils to their first NAIA District 17 championship and trip to the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City, Mo., in 1960.
Mobley was a three-time All-Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference selection and an NAIA honorable mention All-American in 1960.
One of three brothers to play for UAM (Solon was a standout from 1960-64 and Ricky from 1967-71), Harold Mobley scored 1,306 career points, the second player in school history to eclipse 1,000 points for his career. He still ranks 13th on UAM's all-time scoring charts.
Mobley shot 52.7 percent from the field as a junior while averaging 15 points a game, but had his best season as a senior in 1959-60, averaging 19 points a game while leading the Boll Weevils to 14 straight victories before a loss in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
